In an inspiring discussion with German Minister Svenja Schulze (BMZ) on feminist development policy, EMA Secretary General Clara Gruitrooy seized the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to the Minister on the Ministry’s ambitions for reaching gender equality. As the initiator of the cross-cultural mentoring program Ouissal, Mrs. Gruitrooy was able to draw from her practical experience while giving examples from her work on the ground.
Together with the women’s federations of the Berlin Declaration, this insightful exchange with Minister Schulze highlighted the great expertise among the German actors of international cooperation.
The Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) is passionate about genderequality and its impact on economic growth and stability. Activating women’s knowledge and experiences is unavoidable in tackling climate change and promoting social justice.
Addressing these pressing issues, the EMA focuses on women as agents of change and active drivers in their economy!
