We were thrilled to welcome, an important delegation from Morocco, accompanied by representatives of the Moroccan Embassy and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, to our EMA office in Berlin. EMA Secretary General Clara Gruitrooy welcomed the delegation and discussed key topics on migration and socio-economic reintegration, presenting our Germano-Moroccan activities, with a special highlight on the cross-cultural mentoring program Ouissal.

The 10-member delegation, who also joined us in Hamburg, was part of the POMIRE initiative, which promotes access for migrants, refugees, and returning Moroccans to social, economic, and cultural integration services. The delegates represented the Moroccan Ministry of Migration and the Regional Council of Tangier. They further discussed:

◼ Investment opportunities for Moroccan diaspora and Foreign Nationals in Northern Morocco
◼ Migrant entrepreneurship in Germany: Support mechanisms, lessons learned, and success stories.
◼ Transnational entrepreneurship: The importance of information, support, and networks.

For over a decade, EMA is working closely with Morocco to foster German-Moroccan ties across numerous sectors, such as women empowerment, sustainable supply chains, healthcare, and more. We continuously strive to build new partnerships and expand our network to make a positive impact and build a better future.
