The Business Diplomacy Forum 2016 took place within the framework of the business delegation trip to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Inspired by the successful Forum Diplomatique event format in Berlin, EMA has launched the Business Diplomacy Forum. It thus offers all interested stakeholders a unique insight into the economic and political developments in the Arab countries and informs them about potential markets. The Business Diplomacy Forum takes place in changing Arab countries, thus not only opening new avenues for enhanced Euro-Mediterranean-Arab cooperation, but also enabling the networking and integration of people, markets and institutions within the Mediterranean and Middle East region.

The Business Diplomacy Forum will strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations among all stakeholders, highlight the importance of public-private partnerships for sustainable economic development, and explore the prospects for German and European engagement in Arab countries. The target audience includes businesses, representatives of Arab and European diplomatic services at the venue, as well as chambers, associations, media and civil society organizations.
