Report – The economic location Morocco

For the third time in a row, selected high-ranking representatives from business, politics and science gathered for a lecture by the guest of honor, His Excellency Omar Zniber, the Moroccan Ambassador, followed by lunch at the premises of the Anglo-German Club.

After a reception, Prof. Dr. Horst H. Siedentopf, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco and former EMA President, emphasized in his welcoming speech the diverse potential of Morocco and the positive economic and political development of the country. His Excellency, Omar Zniber, in his speech on “Economic and Political Reforms in Morocco for a Friendly Investment Climate”, also highlighted Morocco’s positive social, political and economic development, which has been set in motion mainly by the economic and political reforms of recent years. Furthermore, he underlined the importance of cooperation between Germany and Morocco for the development of the Kingdom of Morocco. Also Mr. Farhane, Economic Council of the Moroccan Embassy emphasized in his subsequent presentation praising the economic potential of the country and the steadily improving investment climate in the country. Especially in the areas of industry, infrastructure and renewable energies, enormous progress has been achieved through reforms and the economic importance of the country has been strongly advanced.

Before the dessert of the following lunch, Mr. Uwe Mülot, owner of the company Mülot Autotechnik Reifen GmbH & Co. KG and EMA member reported on his successful project “Know-how transfer in the field of scrap tire retreading as a contribution to cleaner production in Morocco”, which was successfully established in Egypt and Morocco thanks to the cooperation with EMA.
