Kuwait has set itself ambitious goals: By the year 2030, fifteen percent of the national energy demand is to be covered by renewable sources. At the invitation of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), EMA Secretary General will now travel to Kuwait in March. There she will give the keynote speech at the symposium “Exploring the Future of Renewable Energy in Kuwait: Application and Challenges” organized by KISR. Interested companies can contact EMA if they are interested in accompanying Mrs. Gruitrooy to Kuwait and get in direct contact with decision makers from the Kuwaiti energy sector.
The aim is to provide a discussion platform for scientists, engineers, government representatives and industry. At the same time, the symposium is a good opportunity for all participants to exchange new ideas and application experiences as well as to discuss mechanisms to make Kuwait’s vision a reality by 2030.
Main topics of the symposium:
- Policy and regulation of renewable energies (RE)
- Technological innovations in the field of RE
- Development and implementation of renewable energy systems in
- Kuwait and the Mediterranean and Middle East region
- Energy storage technologies
