We still can’t get over the heartwarming Wrap-Up Week we had in Berlin!
Last week, OUISSAL 2023/24 participants from Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine, Libya, Lebanon, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and Spain came together in Berlin to celebrate the culmination of an inspiring mentoring year. For those who couldn’t join us due to visa issues or personal reasons, you were truly missed!
We kicked off with a full-day workshop, led by the amazing Daniela Greiffendorf, Eva Flory, and OUISSAL Founder Clara Gruitrooy. It was a day filled with insightful exchanges, meaningful discussions, and a chance for participants to connect face-to-face and learn from each other’s experiences
With the beautiful Berlin weather on our side, we explored iconic landmarks like the Brandenburger Tor, Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Wall, Museum Island, and more, adding extra magic to an already special week
The grand finale was the 6th German-Arab Women’s Forum under the inspiring motto: “Connecting women to empower the world.” The event featured guests such as Minister Svenja Schulze, Dr. Anna Christmann, Susanne Friedrich, and many other distinguished guests from politics, civil society, business, academia, and the media. Hosted by Clara Gruitrooy and co-moderated by Youmna Naufal, the forum tackled crucial topics like Socio-ecological Transformation, Gender Equality, Just Transition, and more, and marked the wrap-up of the OUISSAL 2023/24 cohort.
