As part of this strategic realignment of the EMA, Mr. Rizwan Waheed has been appointed as the new Secretary General. As a German national with Pakistani roots, he serves as an exemplary figure for the association’s international and intercultural orientation.
Furthermore, Boris von Bieberstein has been recruited to join the Executive Board. In his capacity as Head of Strategy & Business Development at the Juffali Company in Saudi Arabia, he possesses extensive international experience spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America, and will further drive the EMA’s economic networking initiatives.
It is also particularly gratifying that Prof. Dr. Jalid Sehouli will henceforth be supporting the work of the EMA. As an internationally renowned physician, scientist, and networker, he brings valuable insights—particularly regarding the new strategic focus on health and medical cooperation. His membership simultaneously enhances the EMA’s professional and public profile, extending its visibility far beyond Germany’s borders.
Mr. Jörg Weber assumes the position of Treasurer. As an independent management consultant, he possesses many years of experience in establishing cooperation and partner networks, as well as in knowledge management; he thus contributes a holistic perspective to the EMA’s project development efforts.
Last but not least, Ms. Danni Greiffendorf joins the EMA team as Deputy Secretary General. She brings with her many years of international leadership experience gained within the Otis/UTC Group, as well as comprehensive expertise in international leadership programs. Within the EMA, she will focus specifically on identifying new potential in the fields of leadership and mentoring, while also strategically expanding the Ouissal program.
