In order to take a closer look at the points of contact and cooperation opportunities for German business, the EMA is organizing an exclusive delegation trip to the economic and administrative center of the prospering Sultanate of Oman.

1st German-Omani Business Forum
Water and Energy – Investing in the Future
Muscat, 06-09 May 2012.
Head: Reinhard Stuth, Senator for Culture and Media (ret.)

Renewable energy, desalination and wastewater treatment

Oman’s economy has undergone rapid restructuring as a result of the oil production that began in the late 1960s. In order to counter the heavy dependence on fossil fuels and meet the requirements of long-term growth, the use of renewable energy, desalination of seawater and treatment of wastewater play an important role in Oman.

Unique contact opportunities and trade fair visit

Political and economic decision-makers provided participants with first-hand information on perspective developments in the water and energy sectors. At the Oman Power and Water Summit, they discussed innovations with an international audience of experts and learned more about investment potential in the water and energy sectors in Oman.

Selected company visits, receptions, B2B discussions and a cultural social program rounded off the trip. Compared to a private visit to the conference, the savings from participating in the delegation trip alone amounted to over 1,000 euros.

The direct insight into the Omani market, the direct communication with potential partners on site and the broad network of EMA promised an attractive trip.
The inclusive offer of the German-Omani Business Forum included the following services:

Hotel (3 nights in top hotels)
Transportation within Oman
Meals during the trip
Visit to the Oman Power and Water Summit on May 07, 2012
Organization of numerous B2B opportunities in Muscat on the sectors of interest
Interesting cultural social program
Follow-up: our individual consulting after the trip
etc.
