Under the motto „Fit for Partnership with Germany“, the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy together with the German Agency for International Cooperation GIZ is searching for executives from Egypt to prepare them specifically for business and economic cooperation with German small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Each year around 40 Egyptian executives are selected to participate in this practical training.

The programme is aimed at managers and future managers and at upper and middle management levels of Egyptian enterprises with foreign trade potential that wish to establish contacts in Germany. The participants acquire management skills and gain insights into German business practices. While generally open to all industries, this year’s focus sectors are agribusiness and medicine technology, among others.

Eligible participants should hold an academic degree and afford a minimum of three years of professional and management experience. An interest in practical solutions for cooperation with German companies is also highly desirable.

Since its inception in 2011, more than 250 Egyptian managers – both male and female – have participated in the programme. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the programme will be continued virtually with a real-life matchmaking envisioned for 2022.
